guardian of traffic maze

On the Hope Memorial bridge in Cleveland, Ohio, there are 4 monuments or pillars or pylons, not sure the correct name, 2 on each side of the bridge. Each monument has a different guardian on each side for a total of 8 guardians. “Each figure holds a different ground vehicle: a hay wagon, covered wagon, stage coach, passenger car, dump truck, concrete mixer, and two other trucks. The progression of vehicles from hay wagon to semi truck symbolizes the evolution of transport, and the breadth of their protection.” - https://sculpturecenter.org

The bridge ends on the corner of Progressive Field where the Cleveland Guardians play. If you look closely you can see the light stanchions in the photo below (bottom left). I have walked over this bridge dozens of times.

And here is the photo I took as I crossed the bridge on May 27, 2019 where you can see the stadium in the background. It becomes easier to understand how the Guardians chose their new name.

The Maze: Not my best work. Great for kids. I went with the dump truck guardian (the closest to the stadium). It uses a standard maze on the chest of the guardian.

I went and updated the maze which you can read about here. Here is the revised, multimedia version using a photo from flickr, and Heather McLaughlin. If you like observation games, see if you can list all the changes I made before reading the blog post above.

I have made many Cleveland mazes over the years, since it is my home base for part of the year. You can check out the best ones in this post: 6 Stunning Pieces of Maze Art showing Cleveland, Ohio.
