lotus temple maze

What a unique building. The Lotus Temple opened in 1986 and was designed by Fariborz Sahba. You can read all the facts and figures about it on the Lotus Temple wikipedia page. It is a Baháʼí House of Worship but all religions are welcome ! A fun fact - there are no pictures, statues or images displayed inside the temple. There are 27 petals that make up the temple and they are clad with white marble from Greece !

Lotus Temple Photo: a photo from Kevin Doncaster on flickr showing the Lotus Temple. Notice the gathering of birds on the top of the petals !

Lotus Temple Maze: A black and white maze, but actually could be considered color ? Last minute I added the shadows/shading which I ended up really liking - expect to see this in more mazes in the future !! Because of the structure of the building, I used an internal START/GOAL instead of arrows.

This became part of my Case Study#8 - Improving Previous Mazes when I decided to add color to the maze. I prefer the version above, but if you want to see what it would look like in color, check out that blog post.

Take the time to check out my YouTube channel where you can watch videos of mazes being made, and solved !
