5 Labyrinths to Visit in New Hampshire

Lets’ discuss some New Hampshire labyrinth visits. I have selected 5 of the best labyrinths (there are over 30) that are accessible to the public from around the state (in this list 4 are public, and #5 below is on private property - see notes on how to visit it below). If you want a full list of labyrinths in the state check out the Worldwide Labyrinth Finder. Also, there is a wonderful website dedicated specifically to the Labyrinths of New England run by Yadina Clark that is helpful to plan visits in the area.

Why visit a Labyrinth ?

Labyrinths are ancient and mysterious symbols that have been used for centuries for meditation, contemplation, and spiritual renewal. They are also a lot of fun to explore! If you're looking for a unique and challenging experience, walk a labyrinth with intention - it often leads to self-discovery. Personally, I like to walk labyrinths between dawn and sunrise or at sunset until dusk, but any time of day works. You may not realize it, but there is probably a labyrinth near where you live. Today we explore…

5 TIPS FOR VISITING A LABYRINTH

  1. Set an intention for your walk so you can walk with purpose. It could be prayer, reflection, meditation, contemplation, or openness.

  2. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes, as you will be doing a lot of walking.

  3. Bring water with you, especially if you are visiting on a hot day.

  4. Take your time and enjoy the experience. There is no need to rush through a labyrinth.

  5. Be respectful of other visitors. This includes not making noise and being respectful if walking with other people.

More Movie Posters featuring Maze and Labyrinth Artwork

It has been awhile since I wrote about The 10 Best Maze Themed Movie Posters, but I keep watching maze and labyrinth movies and new movies keep coming out, so there are new movie posters to review with maze/labyrinth artwork. Let’s take a look at some new posters that I’ve found and see if any are worthy of making the top 10 list !

11 more maze and labyrinth posters

Please Hold (2020)

If you have not yet seen this sci-fi short film, I recommend it. Here is a link to my review which will remind you of a Black Mirror episode. The poster features a hallway that has carpeting in the design of a maze. It fits the story and looks great.

Mister Organ (2022)
A documentary from New Zealand that is described as a “true story of psychological warfare” on IMBD. And the poster features the silhouette of a man’s heads profile made from a maze.

Tenet (2020)

The film received a new poster for its re-release on IMAX, and it just so happens to feature a square spiral labyrinth !

Woman in the Maze (2023)

Now I heard the title of this movie and immediately knew I needed to see the poster. And….where is the maze ? And then a few months later I noticed it is glowing in the background (green) but obscured but the woman’s many faces.

The Maze (1997)

If anyone can locate this movie - I have wanted to see as soon as I heard it stars Giancarlo Esposito. The poster is interesting. I like the maze aspect and wonder if the low quality imagery is actually on purpose ?

Labyrinth (2002)

A Serbian film that does not feature David Bowie or any puppets, instead it is about a man haunted by the death of his friend. Cool poster. The dark shadows work.

Lady Labyrinth (2017)

This short film is about a woman walking labyrinths to meditate. Nice spiral labyrinth.

Labyrinths: Laberintos (2017)

An eating disorder documentary. The poster is similar to Mister Organ above.

With streaming services television shows now have posters that serve as their promotional page. Here are a few tv shows that fit this category I had never come across before:

Tangle (2009-12)

This tv show is about 2 generations of families. It features a hedge maze.

Dark Labyrinths of the Past (2013)

A woman wakes up with amnesia after waking in the forest after a fight with her husband. Cool maze in the snow on the poster !

The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials (2015)

This movie keeps giving great posters. This one I had never seen before and I love it with a labyrinth shaped maze.

So are any of these good enough for the top 10 list ?

I like the new The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Dark Labyrinths of the Past and maybe Please Hold.
