My favorite mazes from 2024

Typically at this time of the year I put up a poll to vote on the maze of the year. This year’s theme was of comic book style mazes, a particular style I liked making and decided to expand into a full year of mazes. Today, I have selected my 10 favorite mazes of the year. You can vote on your favorite maze at the end if you’d like, but I selected these 10 from the 52 (104 with variations) I made this year. I hope you like them !

I also selected my 10 favorite comic books. They tend to be a bit pun-ny, but I really enjoyed creating them for you every Tuesday !

Maze of the year voting 2023

If you are reading this, thank you for visiting my site. I hope you have enjoyed the mazes this year. This year I featured one maze each week with a few of the mazes getting variations. Some of them where originally in black and white and then a few months later I decided to add color to them (including many on this list).

Out of the 52 mazes this year I have presented the top 10 most popular which can be voted on for maze of the year. Downloads for all the mazes from the year can be found on the homepage. I made a video for my YouTube channel which shows the 10 maze finalists. Please watch it below, then come back and vote and rank your top 3 mazes.

I use the voting as feedback to see what type of mazes people like and I am always surprised by the votes !

Some data on the maze finalists:

  • 5 countries are represented. Mexico 4 (2 are from the same city in Mexico !), India 2, USA 2, England and Azerbaijan.

  • There are 8 building/monuments, 1 scene and 1 sign.

  • 9 mazes are available in both black & white and color, and 1 was done only in color.

2022 Maze of the Year voting results !

Thank you to everyone who voted ! In 2022 I made 52 mazes (plus a few variations) in 52 weeks and 14 of them were popular and up for voting in the maze of the year. Voting always surprises me when it comes to my mazes. Before I get to the results, if you missed the finalists you can watch the video of them on my new YouTube channel.

I only made 4 mazes that were located outside of the USA and 3 made the top 5, all famous places to visit !

If there was a winner for sign maze of the year this is it! And, of course it is made from a photo of a real sign in Fayetteville, Arkansas ! Do people like the sign or the maze ?

This one surprised me. Maybe all my voters have found memories of visiting Disney World ?

And finally we have our top vote getter from a city I live in part time and a place I have walked by over 100 times ! There is a variation of this with a grey front (the color of the building shifts based on time of day and light).

Maze of the year voting 2022

If you are reading this, thank you for visiting my site. I hope you have enjoyed the mazes this year. I switched from doing new daily mazes after 3+ years to do doing a weekly featured maze. This allowed me to spend more time on each maze and make them more complex. Hopefully you see that in the mazes.

So, we are 50 mazes into the year and it is time to vote for your favorite mazes of the year. I cut down the amount that can be voted on to 14 and even made a video of them. Downloads for all the mazes from the year can be found on the homepage.
